Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) enable Canadian provinces and territories to nominate candidates for permanent residency who are interested in settling in a specific region. These programs are designed to meet local economic and demographic needs while offering additional pathways to permanent residency for eligible applicants.
Express Entry and PNPs
Since the introduction of the Express Entry (EE) system, most provinces have adapted their programs to integrate with EE. Provincial nominations under Express Entry offer candidates an additional 600 CRS points, significantly boosting their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
Two Ways to Immigrate Through PNP
1. Express Entry-Linked PNP
- Through this streamlined pathway, you can:
- Connect your Express Entry profile to provincial streams
- Receive nominations worth 600 CRS points
- Get priority processing in Express Entry draws
2. Non-Express Entry PNP
- Application without Express Entry requirements
- Direct submission to provincial programs
- Alternative qualification criteria
- Options for those not eligible for Express Entry
- Various streams based on provincial needs
Why Choose PNPs?
1. Customized Pathways: Each province offers targeted streams, creating opportunities for individuals who may not qualify under federal programs
2. Higher CRS Scores: EE-linked PNP nominations add 600 CRS points, boosting changes of ITA issuance
3. Diverse Options: With over 80 streams across provinces and territories, PNPs cater to various skills, experiences, and goals
